Boogie Till the Cows Come Home

Hi, everyone.  Here I am after another fairly long hiatus.  So I guess having a smart phone didn't help all that much. Well, it will make it easier as long as I devote some time to this attempt at a home business.  Anyway, I just wanted to say that my Etsy page has listings again, and I will be adding more in a short time.  I updated some prices and shipping charges. I feel the time for cheap offers is past and I am now pricing as I see fit to make a profit,  I will also be coming back here soon with some new project photos and my usual crazy banter.  Hope everyone is doing well so far this year! See you soon!

Thanks Be to the Boogie Gods

I was sure that I was gone for a year or more, and look... it's only been 3/4 of a year! Gold star for me! Yea, okay, well I have some finished projects, with pictures no less, so this is me making up for the hiatus. I am certain that if I don't find some buyers soon, my entire house will be nothing but totes of FPs (finished projects) and WIPs... I  won't be able to make it to either the kitchen or the bathroom! I just figured out that my blog name is horrendous for what I am trying to accomplish. Google doesn't even register it as a valid result when  I  search the name of it, and its a freaking blog on a google site! Sigh. Okay, rant is done, but someone please get interested  in my life ffs. Here are those pics, anyway.... damn, wth happened to the pic i did of my friends hat. :/ Sigh.

First pic is a gold, sleeveless short tunic with small black band. Just something I put together, I think it looks good and will look great on the right person.

This second one is some more hats. Have I hit anyone's interests yet?

And last, is a halter from the book I  own, "24 hour crochet", that I use  and reference often.

I will try  and be back soon! Happy holidays!

Raise the Bar Boogie

Sneaking in to say hello, and surprise you all ya'll with a few things! Yes, I am saying ya'll is better than you all.  So there!

ANYWHO..... I have a lot of projects that I am dusting off (uh, not litterally... they stay in plastic while they await their debut) and working on!  I have pictures of some of those I have/have not finished, and some new projects that I spun out in a few days.  Now that I have a smart phone I can deliver more pictures, faster; but, I now realize I need a head to display hats on, and my dress form up to display clothes.  Sigh.  Well, at least we can get you all nearly 100% caught up on what I am crafting... okay, I will admit that 'you all' worked well there.  So, let's see, I think we need a list to show how awesomely accomplished this post is:

4 hats
2 loveys
1 pair socks
1 bag
1 basket
1 stuffed animal
1 sweater

Some in progress, some finished, and STILL not nearly everything I have started.  All the memes are painfully accurate...

OKAY! READY?? PHOTO MONTAGE TIME!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? @_@

This is a project from a previous post, for those of you who have maybe been following along.  No longer a WIP for some time, I have yet to put it on Etsy.... I believe it will be up by the end of summer this year.

These two are of a slouchy beanie called "The Hadley" by: Acquanetta Ferguson. The blue one is same style, but it is more of a youth/child size.

On the left we have another child size hat, just a regular small beanie with a super chunky wool that has a run of tinsel through the yarn.  Above is a hat for my other half, which has been posted in this blog before. Thankfully there is some progress to be noted! It is supposed to be Marvin the Martian's helmet.

This little guy goes waaaay back... I started him somewhere between 2010 and 2012. Whew.  glad to see him finally put together, and hope to see him up for sale! He's made of Caron yarn, so he's super soft! I can't help but think of him as a white elephant gift, but I wound also be super happy to see him purchased for a nursery.

Here is a little easter basket inspiration, above. As usual, too late to be worth posting for the holiday this season.  This is more of a prototype anyway. On the left is a project I originally started for myself, some time ago... around the same time as the white elephant, I believe.  I picked these socks up again a couple months ago, and now I am giving them to my mom for her birthday this week!  That reminds me... I haven't posted the socks I did make for myself earlier this year... well, another time, then.

These two loveys are WIPS that I believe I have mentioned before.  I had some creative block here and had put them down for a while.  Recently I put the head on the pink/purple one, which will be a bunny, once I find my notes.  I am still trying to decide what animal to do for the blue/green one. I am thinking elephant since my recent completion of the one above.

Last, and probably least for now... the Halloween surprise from a post last year.  Still a WIP, yet showing some progress like the other updates we have here!  Yes, I am very proud! It has been a morphing project, and sadly I am still in a turmoil over where it is going.  When I last posted, I thought I had a clear idea, but I am feeling a different vibe that I can't ignore and want to get it right, so it's on hold.  Still gonna be themed towards a horror movie character... not that hard to tell which, and still in the same basic class as the original idea.  I will be making a doll of the horror character, which is my other set back... need some colors I don't have... and since people want to visit my blog 10x more than they want to buy my stuff, I am stuck. Thanks alot. =P

Really, though. Still super happy that I have so many views. (It's a lot to me)  Don't know if everyone of them is a different person who was trying to look up something about a "boogie" and ended up in this crazy place, or if I actually have a few people that come back to see my progress. Probably just my mom or my aunt... lol.  If my mom, well, now you know what you are getting for your birthday this year! =D

Seriously, though, anyone passing through and actually getting to this point in this post... I would really appreciate a comment about any of the projects above.  And anyone feel free to get in touch with me here or Etsy or Facebook or Ravelry .  Man, I need to update my ravelry... PEACE AND LOVE!!!

Um, am I on the other side, yet?

I can tell you, but I am sure you already know, it's a long hard road outta hell. And me, I'm lazy and more of an introvert than I would like to admit.  Life keeps prodding, and I stand there like a hungry cow chewing their cud.  Maybe I 'shoulda' been a writter. Maybe on a shopping binge I shoulda went looking for a different craft that is faster and more manly, like jewelry making. =D What? you use pliers and possibly a soldering iron!

I must say, I looked at my stats, and for my lack of having any consistency, I am proud to say I have had over 700 views.  I think that is what it said...

Okay, well, here is a finished product that I have done nothing with even though I now have a smart phone.  I'll tell you, though, the Etsy Seller App could be a little better. I guess it is more for on the spot selling, which is pretty cool to be able to digitally and personally sell the item at the same time.  Oh, I'm rambling.... here's the pic and a promise to be back soon.

Break-on-Thru Boogie

So, another long hiatus, what's new.... not as long as some, though! Wait, what's new? Well, for starters, this was a PRODUCTIVE hiatus!  I started a Facebook page to try and promote my Etsy shop.  Still no funding for this promotion, but it's a start.  I have 18 items up in the shop right now, and that is an extreme achievement.  The pictures still leave something to be desired, but it's an accomplishment.  ALSO, I have a HOTH child sweater that isn't up for sale yet.  I believe I had posted some photos of it as a WIP...

Wait, there's more!  I have more WIPS than appendages!  I am working on a Mystery Halloween Project that I will post pics of RIGHT NOW! in progress, but I'm not tellin' what it is.  No spoilers from those of you who may know!  Although some guesses would amuse me....

I hope the camera works...ok.  BTW this is inspired in part by an old Lion Brand pattern (LB#40283).  No author is noted on my copy.  However, I believe it will be completely unrecognizable to that project in the end, and definitely will come with more bells and whistles! So, for the most part this is an original work.

Hot damn, I'm on FIRE!  And yes, the date stamp on the camera is not right and extremely annoying, but who's got time for that?

Okay, other WIPS.... no pics, but I'll give you some tidbits.  There are two lovey blankets in progress, one is slated to be a pink bunny with an octagon-like shape and 3dc puffs that are in a white, pink, and purple variegated yarn.  I got the inspiration from someones site, but I failed to keep the information and I am coming up empty searching for it again.  I will look more and hopefully I can find it before I post pics or put it up for sale. Anyway, it was the octagon shaped blanket part that I got from their pattern.  Today I started the second lovey that is in a white, blue, and green variegated.  I am using the same puff stitch because I love the way it looks with the variegated yarns.

However, I wanted it to be different and I wanted to create something fresh so that I can feel like an artist and not a copier machine.  I started with a not so original concept of using the puff stitch and just going back and forth.  Then I decided I wanted to still start in the middle, so I thought I could use the puff stitch in a granny square pattern.  Now, I have a happy accident and faith and confidence in my ability to stumble into a great final product. (Lots of my original ideas are now unfinished scraps...)  So when I went to start the granny square I found that doing 4 3dc puffs and 4 ch-3s was making more of a circle than a square.  I took a gamble and went forward, and even if a million other someone else's has done exactly what I have done, for myself, for a moment, I have created something new.  A circular 3dc puff blanket that will most likely be a lovey if I can come up with something as awesome as my "round-a-bout" discovery! =D

AND SO IT IS BORN! I will be recording this project as my first original pattern when I am done.  This has been, in past blogs, what I have noted that will truly define me as a crochet artist.  I do have another completely original work that I would like to create a pattern for.  I waited too long to make it, though, and I want to be accurate, so I plan to make another some day and record my process in a more timely manner.  That would be my mom's snowman, which I will also someday post pics of.  Some day.

Ok, well, last but not least, I am starting to come up with some real ideas and materials for my sachets.  So those will soon begin coming together.  And, if I can ever focus on some super easy stuff... I will have a plethora of pony tail flowers to take pictures of, with which to bombard my various media outlets and suggestively persist that people purchase them.  BYE NOW!

Boogie-licious

I had to laugh after I typed the name to this post... it wasn't until then that the word boogie reminded me of the word booger... So funny how some words have two very different meanings... and yes, my finding that title funny is a bit gross...

Anyway, I am feeling like I owe some credit to all the other websites I have been posting about here recently... I should plug people more often, cause I am getting soooo many views this month!  And I doubt it is just because it is craft month... lol.  Still lovin' the Mystery Afghan 2015 by Yarnspirations and Crochet Crowd.  AND, you'll never believe it, I actually have some photos of my progress.  Sorry, that is all I have right now.  Camera is still down, but I just had to get some pics of my afghan to share with all the wonderful people on the facebook page. So I got help from my mom and her camera.  Besides, I am not getting very far on this project, or others for that matter, so you aren't missing too much right now.  These granny squares are kickin' my butt a little, but it is a great challenge and learning experience.  Anyone who's interested is still more than welcome to start one, and you can even still sign up with them in order to be concidered for the yarn prize.  Just follow the link that Brittany pinned to the top of the facebook page (the Mystery Afghan link) I linked to above, and you can read all about the rules and get the clues as well there! And don't forget there is a KAL as well, if that is your thing, or you can do both!

Yes, that was a lot more shameless plugging....  I wish I had more to share, but I am happy to be able to give something, and not too long since my last post, either!  So, I know I don't have too many items on my Etsy page, and I don't have the money to really advertise.... that is why I am going to try and get a lot of projects made before I go in there again to get all updated.  A lot of my listings drop off soon, so it will look a bit empty for a while.  If you are actually looking to purchase something, send me a message there and I will get back with you.  Once I have my camera sitch figured out, and I get at least another 10 or so items completed I am going to put up lots of listings and maybe I will advertise for a bit.  You can even let me know here, if you have any ideas or are intersted in a piece.  I can do pretty much anything now, I think.  Well, as long as it's crochet....  OK, well here are my wip pics of the afghan, enjoy!!

The progression over the weeks.. clue 1 is bottom left, next to that is clue 2, top left is 3, then 4, and finally 5 on the top right... it is the orange blob in the middle, hehe.

This is row 6 of clue 3.  I like the way it looks before you add row 7, so I took a pic.

These are the 5 squares I have that are up to the current clue, #5.  In the center is a blue one, and I am thinking of doing more with that color, but I am waiting to see the next clues.  We get 2 this next week and get 2 weeks to complete them.

Alright, everyone, have a great week, and keep on keepin' on!  Much love!

Did You Know It's National Craft Month?

I just learned that March is considered National Craft Month.  I finally joined enough sites that I feel like I am really "in-the-know" when it comes to crochet and other crafts.  I just entered a contest for favecrafts.com is and you should, too!! It is a giant Red Heart Yarn gift bag full of awesome stuff!  I am excited for whoever wins.  I usually don't win raffles or contests, so I would fall out of my chair if I get this!

I am sad to say I still don't have any pics, my camera is still down. =(  Very sad!!  The update for the week, though, is that I put that purse on hold to start The Crochet Crowd and yarnspirations.com's 2015 Mystery Afgan CAL.  I think I talked a little about it in my last post.  They also have a KAL going for it, too, in case I didn't mention that.

Gotta run for now, good luck to anyone who enters, and keep up the crafting boogie!

Don't Stop the Boogie

I apologize for my recent drop-off-the-Earth episode...  Old habits die hard! I tell you, I always have the best intentions and then I let myself become lazy, again.  Well, since I am here in whim, I don't have any photos, but I will share a link to a great community I have been following recently on facebook.  It's The Crochet Crowd and it's a great way to see what other crocheters are doing, or to share your own creative ideas.  Check it out!

Currently I am working on another purse, so I will try and get pics up sooner rather than later.  I also watched a tutorial from Crochet Crowd and yarnspirations about doing graph work.  I still haven't tried to arm knit or crochet, I just don't know if my stash is personally big enough right now.  I also made a couple of headbands recently, of my own design, so I will have a few photos to share when I get myself together again.  Hopefully I will also get some more postings on etsy.com soon as well.

Hope everyone is enjoying themselves and not having too much trouble with the winter weather.  Great to talk with you all again, and I will see you soon!

The Turtle Wins The Race, Right?

Haha.  I feel like the turtle, but I don't see the finish line yet.  That could be a blessing in disguise, I suppose.  This morning I kept hearing people trying to drive up the hills of our apartments, and they all seemed to be going no where fast. Lol.  Their tires just kept spinning on the thin layer of icy snow over the drive.  I feel like that this week.

Anyway, I am just glad I am here on a Friday getting my post on!  Still not selling anything on Etsy, though.  And still not getting enough finished products to post on Etsy to try and boost my visibility on there either.  The only thing I have worked on this week is the sweater I have been talking about. And though it is sadly under par for where I should be, I took some pics.  So, tires spinning at least means I have been doing something and, here for your viewing pleasure, are the results...

Not much more than squarish rectangles, currently.  The middle pic will be the front and I am almost at the point where I will divide for the shoulders.  The white yarn had a little yarn goblin go and tangle it all up for me, and I don't think there is enough left, so I am just going to buy another skein here soon.  After I finish dividing for the shoulders I will start on the sleeves.  It has been a while since I have made a top.  The last ones I made were for my man's little ones.  I wish I had pics of those. They were pretty cute if I do say so myself.  The boys one was actually the same green as this sweater, but the whit was more ivory.  Both were hoodies, the girls was supposed to be a kitty, I put ears on it and made a applique kitty face, which I sewed on in a way that made it a pocket and the boys was the same as a puppy.  I say the girls was supposed to be a kitty, this is because my use of pink for hers kind of made it look like a piggy instead.  Anyway, I got to see them wear them once and it was adorable.

Okay, ya'll (don't laugh, I am from Texas originally), wish me luck in the new week!  And have a great one yourselves!!!

Boogie Into the New Year

Well, I missed a week.  And no go on the snowman.  BUT, I haven't given up, and I did finish the red shawl last week.  So that will be your pleasure today.  Yea, I thought I could handle the week of Christmas and get it all done, but working overnights that week turned my world upside down.  Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it, and my body is still telling me it would prefer that schedule.  However, it is not something you can do for a week and then just act like it didn't mess with your head.

And Damned if I never started on those Limpet Mitts of Mrs. McCawber's.  Sigh.  I really wanted to, but it is hard to get on here when the other half is hogging it.  I did work on a children's sweater project I have been working at for a couple months now.  I am going to need to buy a skein of white Red Heart before I can finish, but for now I am plugging away at it.

Whether or not I start on the Mitts, I am looking at starting another bag.  And still, I am working up the courage to try the arm knitting technique.  I slept in way to long this morning or I would search for a knit or crochet along.  So much to do, so little time, when the sandman has his grip on you for 3 hours longer than you would have liked!  I would assume you could arm crochet as well, but I haven't seen anything on it.  I really like the idea, if you couldn't tell, especially for the knitting.  I am hoping it will help make me into the knitter I would like to be.  Does anyone have some get-er-done dust they would care to sprinkle on me?!?!? =)  Okay, okay... I will give you the weekly pictures now, and be on my way, in order that I might actually accomplish some things today!  See you next week!

Boogie Like No One's Watching!

I hope you are all as happy to know as I am that my positivety (<---- apparently I made up this word as spell checker has not a clue what I am trying to say....) HAS RETURNED!!!!!  Right now Pandora is playing a song with the words "My dream is to fly over the rainbow" HA!  How appropriate. I know that is what most of us want, I also know that the drive required is difficult for some to grasp. (ME) =)

Although I don't have a plethora of things to share with you this week, I do have the finished red bag (which is on etsy now and already got a favorite this week!), I also have pics of another project I started for a shawl, AND I found the little hat I was talking about a few weeks ago.  The hat is an original creation, no pattern, just an idea turned real.  I still wonder if I should add a headband or just have bobby pins with it.  I also wonder if I could make another.  I wish I had made several when I made this one...  It is funny, at the time I made that and the snowman for mom I was crocheting a lot and I had a friend that would sit and crochet, too.  I don't know if having the friend helped me be more creative or just crocheting a lot.  It was probably a combo.  Lately most of my attempts at originality have not come to fruition as I have been unhappy with all of them.

I still hope I can show you all the little snowman I made here soon.  Going to mom's for my b-day tomorrow, so I will bug her to try and find it, but she just moved a month or so ago, so I can't promise anything.  Hopefully I can give you photos of it for x-mas this next Friday!   I have decided, for the foreseeable future, Friday will be my posting day. That way I will put out a minimum of 4 posts a month.  I think that is enough to keep myself and others interested.  I just have to come up with something interesting to post every week.... I think it is a good goal, though. It Will hopefully help keep my creativity and motivation up.

I just discovered arm knitting, and it looks like it might be right up my alley, cause it is quick!  I have been wanting to make some cowls and I saw a tutorial on just that.  I just gotta brush up on those knitting skills, which is what I want to do, anyway.  I really want to get good at knitting, I just keep on putting it off.  Okay, one more thing before I go, as this is getting really LONG!  I am going to start a pair of Mrs. Mcawber's Limpet Mitts this week as well.  I love her blog and her work and I am late in starting, but better late than never!  Anyone and everyone should check out her awesome blog, it puts mine to shame!  I also absolutely love Snowcathcer because her writing and photographs are moving and inspirational! I may have plugged them before, and I probably will again, but these ladies deserve it! Shout out, ladies!! ~MUCH LOVE~

Here are this weeks photos:

Dancing with the Winter Blues

Wow.  I have been on such a roller coaster of emotions lately.  I know winter can sap your energy and some of your happiness, unless of course you love the cold! (I have a few crazy friends like that)  The thing is, I am usually not one who can stay unhappy for long, even if things are not on the up side.  But I feel myself staying in this state more often and I don't like it.  I hope I can pull out of it soon, and I would be grateful for any positive energy or prayers you have to spare.

I won't be posting any pics today, but I have been working a little on my projects, and I am happy to report that the red bag with the white stripes is nearly finished!  And I think the liner is going to turn out okay.  At least, not horrible for one of my few attempts.  I just don't know how visible the thread is going to be from the outside.  The thread is a reddish orange, which matches the liner almost perfectly.  But, the yarn I used is definitely a full on RED! I may have had a red hiding around here, somewhere, but I failed to think about going to look for it before I started this portion of the sewing... sigh.  I know it is there and different, so I see it perfectly.  I just hope it isn't very noticeable, or that it is not an issue when I sell it.  OOOH! I did positive!  I said "when" not "if"! That is surprising considering that is one of the things that is bringing me down.  I don't have a lot of items in my etsy shop, nor do I have the money to really advertise it, so I hardly ever get any sales.  Sometimes it makes me feel like I am not good at making things that people would be interested in buying...

Okay, this has been a bit therapeutic, so that's good.  I gotta get to work now... I am super late for the second day in a row. Sigh.  I will definitely have some photos for you next time.  And it will be of finished products as well as some other items I am working on.  Have a great day, everyone, and don't let the winter get you down, if you can! =)

Boogie on, Garth

Hello, hello!  Back for another early morning installment!  So I was talking in my last post about all of the holiday themed items I am working on, but I had a small life mishap the other day that caused me to start  going through some of my stuff. I found a project that I had nearly finished, but had lost the creative drive to do so. I decided that was as good a time as any to get-r-done, AND I got pictures.  I should be posting it on my etsy page to sell... but it seems ya'll are getting the first look.  It is a very interesting item, to say the least.  Another scarf, but with some very interesting colors... I don't know how it will look on here because it seems to look different under different lights to me.  Anyway, here it is, and I promise I will have some more photos of the other stuff I promised, soon!

Haha, fancy that!  The "pink" looks SUPER pink on here, lol.  It is actually kind of pinkish-orange, like a salmon color, I think.  The darker color is a navy blue with little red fibers woven through it.  Wow, I don't even know if I can sell it confidently.  I can put all this info in the description, but it just looks so different in an online environment... It looks so awesome on here, that is just CRAY. lol. Alright, all, I hope you enjoy it, and I will blog at ya soon!

Winter Boogie Fever!

Hey, it's been a bit, but I AM READY!  And I am not going to give it all up at once, this time.. I have a few projects in the works that have a holiday feel. But I am thinking I may have started them too late to be ready for this season.  I guess it all depends on how much work I put in!  Well, first off, here is the next version of the last purse I posted, and this one I intend to sell!  I am thinking about lining it, which is why I am worried if this one will be finished in time to get it sold this year. I suppose if I leave it a bit plain and try not to over-do the Holiday theme I could sell it at any time of year...

What do you think?  I haven't fully planned how it is turning out, heck, the pattern was just how it "ended up".  I also have a green and white sweater in the works, size small, or kids.  I am making a head band or two, and I am making some more of the granny square slippers.  I am thinking I might start a sports team or other themed onesie for a baby, but I want to start getting a little more original, so we'll see.  I will post for ya'll here soon a picture of my most original work EVER!  It is a snowman that I made for my mom for xmas a year or so ago.  I am so proud of it, but I didn't write out a pattern and I haven't attempted to make it again.  I think the small brimmed hat I made may be original as well.  I will see if I can get a pic of that, too.  It was around the same time.  Hopefully that wasn't my only Renaissance period... I need to get back to that place!  By the way, if anyone has a line on how to make a little extra money through crafting or helping with an event, or anything, let me know.  Hurting a bit right now and just need a line on some odd jobs, if anyone has any leads!

Thanks and Happy Holidays!  Boogie with you soon! =)

The Art of Survival

Oh how I wish I could capture that need, that endless motivation to move forward, by the reigns and run with it.  I have a desire to cook, clean, travel, make sound investments, and save towards a brighter future.  My drive, however, needs a tune up, a make-over, or complete overhaul.  My current crochet project is a perfect example, as well as my lack of finding a simple envelope, to put a letter to a friend in, so it can be mailed.

This purse should only take me 3-4 working days, tops.  I think it's been about 3 weeks now.  But, it is close to being done, which is exciting, and I plan on getting it finished over the weekend. We'll see how it goes...  Either way, here is two pics of the purse I think I am in love with, but feel I should try to sell to make up for the lack of currency in the household these days....

When it is finished, it will have a really big button to attach the strap on the back side.  This is a variation on a pattern from Lion Brand Yarns, and I used some scrap yarn that I have had lying around and some other scrap yarn from a friend who unloaded a bunch on me last year.  Speaking of my stash... WOW.  I am sure a few of you have way more yarn and fabric than I can even comprehend, but I am laughing maniacally each time I see the amount of crafting material I have attained in the last 10 years.  Ok, I think I better get to some of those important things I was speaking on earlier!  I hope you liked my purse as much as I do! =)

Good Morning Interweb!

Hey there! Just sneaking on really quick before work.  I have a couple of projects going, but I haven't gotten any pics taken yet.  My favorite one right now is a bag with gold, burgundy, and blue and I am still trying to finish this blanket I have been working on for a year or so now and it keeps transforming on me.  Plus I kinda messed up by adding some stitches, but it is for home use, so I am not looking back!  I will do my best to get some batteries for my silly, cheap camera. (it does work, though, so I am greatful!)  Hope ya'll are having a fabulous day!  =D

No Good Excuse!

Well, now I really shot myself in the foot.  A whole year!  Almost my favorite time of year again, though!  (Halloween)  Anyway, I did get a camera last year for xmas, I am just a lazy, forgetful, unmotivated person, except for in small spurts.  Well, now my man and I have our own place, our own computer, and I have a camera.... so we are going to try this again. (By we I mean me and my crazy self)  And just to prove I mean business I am actually going to post some pictures!!! Because we all know we don't come to this blog for the writing! =D

These items are all for kids, because kid's stuff is adorable!  This first photo is of a toy I made from an idea at http://www.lookatwhatimade.net/crafts/yarn/crochet/free-crochet-patterns/olive-crochet-octopus-puzzle/. Dedri is so awesome for posting her stuff and letting others make and sell her ideas in small batches; I just had to put a little of my own spin on it to spread the creativity even further!

These next two pairs of slippers just make me smile from ear to ear.  Their colors are just fabulous for little kids to enjoy and they are so funky and different you have to love them!  I figured out how to make these from looking at a pair of them one time that a friend showed me.  I don't know who to credit for this pattern, someone in her family made hers and I just got lucky to figure it out.  I am not even sure I made them the exact way that anyone else has?  No matter what, these are sweet and comfy, although super slippery on the right kind of smooth surface... which is still awesome when you want to slide across the kitchen floor to toss your trash! =)  Yes, I have my own pair!! B)

Next I have some great scarves that can be worn by children, or if you are feeling really young at heart, by any age!  I feel all but the thinner one in the middle are a bit short for adults, but some of use aren't really that tall anyway!  The colors are also really playful and found in lots of children's clothes.  The mint and white one was made using two strands of yarn held together and is soft and sweet.  The second one, which has purple, blue, and green colors throughout is made from cotton and is great as an accent piece on a cool spring or fall day.  The last one is just crazy!  It is also soft and has a good warm weight to it, because I used Caron yarn. <3 It is very deceptive in how warm it can be from the look, but if you have ever had a granny square blanket you know those holes are needed so you don't over heat!  And I just have to toot my own horn here.... ALL of these scarves are my own creations using various stitch patterns!  I know, it's "knot" that rare of an achievement, but it makes me feel like I am getting into the upper crust of crochet artistry!

Last, but not least, a cute pair of crochet booties I made a while back.  I did use a pattern I probably found online, so I won't mass produce them for sale or anything.  I hope to come up with something by myself that is at least marginally unique in its design here soon, I just haven't quite figured it out yet...

OK! That is all you get today!  I am so happy I got to share with you once again!  I will persist in this communication, and hopefully it will get less sporadic and help get me and my work noticed.  Wish me luck, and I will see ya'll again soon!
